ALBERT E. LIVESAY, 78, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 7:45 A.M. on Sunday, August 10, 2008 at the Mattoon Health Care Center.
Albert was born on April 28, 1930 in Arcola, IL. He was a son of John W. and Beulah (Titus) Livesay. He married Judy Torbeck on December 20, 1987 in Shobonier, IL
He is survived by his wife Judy Livesay of Mattoon, IL; two daughters, Linda “Lacy” Cochrane and her husband Tim of Champaign, IL and Connie Alexander and her husband Gary of Villa Grove, IL; Four grandchildren, Christine Yaden of Kannapolis, NC, Andrew Traxler and his wife Rachelle of Madison, WI, Franklin Alexander and his wife Holli of St. Joseph, IL and Rod Alexander and his wife Tiffany of Waynesville, MO; two great-grandchild, Matthew Alexander of St. Joseph and Vanessa Alexander of Waynesville, MO; one sister, Doris Baker of Covington, IN; three sister-in-laws, Lorraine Livesay of Mattoon, IL, Liz Livesay of Arthur, IL and Evelyn Livesay of Oviedo, FL; one brother-in-law Clifford Starr, two step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Harry, Jim, Wayne, Jay, Edward and George Livesay and one sister Thelma Starr.
Albert was a Navy Veteran. His life’s work revolved around the truck tank industry. He worked at Progress Industries in Arthur, IL for over thirty years. He joined his brothers and worked at Livesay Brothers in Hindsboro, IL. He then owned and operated Corn-Belt Fabricators in Oakland, IL for several years, he worked for All Pro in Arcola, IL and later started LT&E (Livesay Tank and Equipment) in Mattoon, IL. After he retired, he became a State Certified Truck Tank Inspector.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charleston, IL and The Masonic Lodge in Oakland, IL.
Albert enjoyed traveling playing the piano and spending time with his family and friends.
