Alice Marie Wilfawn, 87, of Flora, IL formerly of Long Creek, IL passed away at 10:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at Heritage Woods of Flora.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Macon County Memorial Park in Decatur, IL. Pastor Rick Spangler will officiate. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
Alice was born on July 24, 1933 in Seneca, SD. She was a daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Barnum) Schultz. She married Don Wilfawn on April 30, 1952 in Council Bluff, IA. He passed away on July 26, 2019.
She is survived by one daughter, Norine Merrow and her husband Frank of Clay City, IL; three grandchildren, Shawn Merrow and his wife Paula of Springfield, IL, Crystal Smith and her husband Ricky of Mt. Zion, IL and Travis Merrow of Clay City, IL; six great-grandchildren, Shawna and Devon Merrow, Breanne and Mariah McBride and Zoe and Logan Merrow; one step-great-granddaughter, Katelin Smith; two great-great-grandsons, Noah and Jonathan Campbell, and one sister, Donnalee Ware of Ottumwa, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers, Leroy Schultz, Milo Schultz and Charles Schultz.
Alice was a member of GT Church in Decatur; she was always looking to volunteer when needed. Alice had a love for redbirds, animals, dogs and cats, and she enjoyed putting together puzzles, playing cards and she loved plants.
Alice was an exceptional mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma.
