Allen Hochstetler

Allen L. Hochstetler, 60, of rural Arcola, IL passed away at 12:55 A.M. on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Richard Gingerich residence, 439 E. CR 200 N., Arcola, IL.  Bishop Jeffrey Alan Miller will officiate.  Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL.  Visitation will be held anytime after 1:00 P.M. on Friday, November 8, 2019 and anytime after 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Richard Gingerich residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Allen was born on February 22, 1959.  He was a son of Levi J. and Mary (Schrock) Hochstetler.  He married Barbara Sue Gingerich on October 5, 1983 in Arcola, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Arcola, IL, seven children, Matthew Allen Hochstetler Charleston, IL, Lamar Eugene Hochstetler of Arcola, IL, Jerry LaVern Hochstetler and his wife Marnita of Lovington, IL, Lori Ann Chupp and her husband David of Arcola, IL, Davon Jay Hochstetler and his wife of Regina of LaGrange, IN, Kyle Dean Hochstetler and special friend Dorothy Yoder of Arcola, IL and Glendon Dale Hochstetler of Arcola, IL, 13 grandchildren, his his mother, Mary Hochstetler of Arcola, IL, two brothers, Menno Lavern Hochstetler and his wife Lorena of Tuscola, IL and Robert L. Hochstetler and his wife Linda Lou of Arcola, IL and one sister, Emma Marlene Miller and her husband Raymond S. of Arcola, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Levi J. Hochstetler and one sister, Barbara Rose Hochstetler.

Allen was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
