Alma Yoder

ALMA D. YODER, 98, of Lovington, IL passed away at 9:57 P.M. Monday, August 25, 2008 at her residence.

Alma was born July 30, 1910 in Oakland, Maryland. She was a daughter of Daniel C. and Abigail (Otto) Schlabach. She married Henry R. Yoder on October 10, 1929 in Arthur, IL. He passed away December 17, 2000.

Survivors include one son Howard H. Yoder and his wife Nettie (Beachy) of Arthur, IL; one daughter Katie Miller and her husband Elmer of Lovington, IL; one son-in-law Eli Herschberger and his wife Anna Marie (Stutzman) of Arthur, IL; 21 grandchildren; 96 great-grandchildren and 34 great-great-grandchildren.

Her parents, her husband, two sons, Ruben Henry Yoder and Edward H. Yoder and his wife Laura, one daughter, Ruby Ellen Herschberger and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death.

Alma was a member of the Old Order Amish faith.

Visitation will be anytime prior to the service. The Elmer Miller Residence is 4 1/2 miles west of Arthur, IL on Hwy. Rt. 133.

Bishop David E. Schrock will officiate. The Elmer Miller Residence is 4 1/2 miles west of Arthur, IL on Hwy. Rt. 133.

Wednesday August 27, 2008 at Otto Cemetery

Burial will be held immediately following the funeral service.
