Andy Mast

ANDY RAY MAST, 55, of Arthur, IL, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at his residence rural Arthur, IL.

Andy Ray was born August 2, 1953 in Coles County, IL. He was a son of William A. and Mary Ann (Plank) Mast. He married Sara Marie Bontreger September 25, 1975 in Douglas County, IL.

Survivors include his wife Sara Marie Mast; his mother Mary Ann Mast of Arthur, IL; six sons John A. Mast and his wife Leona, of Arcola, IL, David Mast and his wife Rhoda of Humboldt, IL, Joe A. Mast and his wife Carolyn of Worthington, IN, Paul Mast, Phillip Mast and Daniel Mast at home; four daughters Mary Ann, Kathryn Ann, Dorothy and Wilma all at home; 12 grandchildren; two brothers Elva Mast and his wife Leona of Tuscola, IL and Joe Allen Mast and his wife Deloris of Humboldt, IL; five sisters Verna Kay Miller and her husband Gary Dale of Arthur,IL, Ruth Anna Yoder and her husband Reuben Joseph of Arthur, IL, Lela Fern Kaufman and her husband Melvin A. of Arthur, IL, Ada Lorene Yoder and her husband Kenneth H. of Loganville, WI and Betty Ellen Miller and her husband Floyd O. of Arthur, IL and one sister in-law Irene Mast of Arthur, IL.

His father William A. Mast, one brother Lynn Wm. Mast and stillborn twins preceded him in death.

Andy Ray was a member of the Old Order Amish Church for which he served as a bishop and he was a dairy farmer in the Arthur area.
