April Ross
APRIL LIN ROSS, 44, of Lerna, IL passed away at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, September 16, 2013 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.
April was born on April 30, 1969 in Elgin, IL. She was a daughter of Kenneth and Linda Lou (Allison) Messler. After 27 years she married her soul mate, Benjamin Arnold Ross and changed her name from Messler to Ross on July 12, 2013.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Ross of Lerna, IL; three children, Janie Messler of Hoffman Estates, IL, Benjamin A. Ross Jr. and Jeffrey S. Ross both of Lerna, IL; three grandchildren, Myles Aaron Ross, Benjamin Arnold Ross III, and Kristina Nichole Ross all of Lerna, IL her parents Kenneth and Linda Messler of Lerna, IL; two sisters, Valerie Riggs and Sally Messler and two brothers, Kenny Messler and Phillip Messler.
She was preceded in death by two unborn children her grandparents, Ruth and George Messler and her father in law Robert Aguiniga.
April enjoyed camping, going to the beach, playing video games and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Lerna United Methodist Church. Rev. Carol Techau officiated. Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral at the Lerna United Methodist Church. Cremation followed her services. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers memorials were made to April’s family.
