Barbara Rose Fore

Barbara Rose Fore, 93, of Humboldt, IL passed away at 2:35 PM on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Odd Fellow Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL. Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Barbara was born on June 11, 1931 in Tuscola, IL. She was the daughter of John Frederick Jr. and Elfrieda Mae (Torrey) Russell. She married William Fredrick Fore Sr. on November 28, 1953 in Arthur, IL. He passed away on May 1, 1997.

Barbara is survived by six children, Harriett Marie Clark of Charleston, IL, William Fredrick Fore Jr. and his wife Kay of Mattoon, IL, Pamela Sue Clark and her husband David of Arcola, IL, Marsha Kay McLain and her husband Roger of Humboldt, IL, Michael Dwaine Fore and his friend, Carolyn Muessman of Humboldt, IL and Cheryl Ann Allen and her husband Brian of Mattoon, IL, one son-in-law, Keith Taylor of Collum, IL, seven grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, one sister, Nancy Reynolds and her husband Jerry of Tuscola, IL, and two brothers, Kenneth Naman Russell and his wife Nancy of Tuscola, IL and Jackie Lee Russell of Arthur, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Lois Mae Taylor, one sister, Doris Beaty and her husband Harold, one brother, James Russell and his wife Ruth, and a sister-in-law, Nancy Russell.

Barbara was a member of the First Christian Church in Humboldt, IL, and had attended the First Christian Church in Arcola, IL. 

She enjoyed embroidering and quilting, she also kept a large garden and enjoyed canning and sharing with family and friends. After Barbara moved to Brookstone in 2017 she became an avid bingo player.
