Ben Schrock

BEN N. SCHROCK, 82, of Arcola, IL passed away at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Jacob Stutzman’s residence, 423 North County Road 400 East in rural Arcola, IL. Bishop Jacob Stutzman will officiate. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral at Jacob Stutzman’s residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting Ben’s family with funeral arrangements.

Ben was born on June 18, 1926 in rural Arcola, IL. He was a son of Noah B. and Lydia (Kauffman) Schrock. He married Lena Schlabach on February 13, 1958 in Arthur, IL. She passed away on August 1, 2001.

Ben is survived by four sons, Lewis Ray Schrock and his wife Oma of Arcola, IL, Harvey Lee Schrock and his wife Loretta of Arthur, IL, Marvin Jay Schrock and his wife Mary Ann of Worthington, IN and Freddie Joe Schrock and his wife Susan of Arcola, IL; two daughters, Mary Esther Schrock and Verda Ellen Schrock both of Arcola, IL; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Enos Schrock and his wife Rachel of Rockville, IN and Harvey Schrock of Seymour, MO and one sister, Katie Gingerich of Arthur, IL

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one grandson Larry Ray Schrock, four brothers and two sisters.

Ben was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
