Billy Eugene Mushrush

BILLY EUGENE MUSHRUSH, 90 of Kankakee, IL passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at the Friendswood Christian Church, 3268 North Glenn Road in Bourbonnais, IL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main Street in Arcola, IL. Preacher Mark Duhon will officiate. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery.

Bill was born on September 27, 1934 in Bridgeport, IL, a son of Valmore and Dorothy M. (Wright) Mushrush. He married Viola Mae (Yutzy) Clark on April 5, 1968 in Tampa, FL.

He is survived by his wife Viola, four children, Kenneth Dale Clark and his wife Donna of Kankakee, IL, Gary Dean Clark and his wife Laura of Carrington, ND, Marsha Sue Brubach of Kankakee, IL and Richard Eugene Mushrush and his wife Emily of Sussex, WI; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Linder and her husband Paul of Olney, IL and a sister-in-law, Norma Mushrush of Summerville, SC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Tally Lee Mushrush.

Bill was a United States Airforce Veteran, serving from 1955 to 1958. He served as a medic and competed on the US Airforce track team in the 440 and the 440 hurdles. 

Bill worked for Azzarelli Construction, mainly constructing storm sewers and sanitary projects. He retired in 2002 with 34 years of service. 

Bill was a member of the Friendswood Christian Church in Bourbonnais, IL.
