Carol Ann Huckstep

Carol Ann Huckstep, 58, of Tuscola, IL, formerly of Arcola, IL, passed away at 11:13 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at her residence.

Private family services will be held at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Carol was born on February 18, 1966 in Tucson, AZ. She was a daughter of William David and Janna Lynn (Finney) Graham.

She is survived by one son, Matt Huckstep, his wife Brooke and two grandchildren, Grace Anne and Karsen Ray, of St. Elmo, IL; one sister, Patricia Rogers and her husband Ty of Arcola, IL; one nephew, Brandon Ingram of Charleston, IL; two nieces, Melissa Petrie and her husband Chad; and Jenny Frichtl and her husband Jaron: one great-nephew and three great-nieces, all of Arcola, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Jessica Anne Huckstep, and a great-niece, Makenzie Leanne Petrie.

Through the years, she worked as a CNA, in the clerical field, in manufacturing, and as a stay-at-home mom. She was intelligent and artistic and did the graphic designs for the Arcola Jaycees for many years.

Growing up and throughout her adult life, Carol experienced more difficult things than anyone should ever have to endure, but even though life was an up and down struggle for her, she never let that cause her to become cynical or mean. She always saw the best in people and was the kindest soul. Her family, friends and fur babies, Josie and Jack, meant the world to her. Being a grandma to Grace and Karsen was by far her greatest joy. You were a better person for having known her, and she will be greatly missed by so many.
