Chad Morris

CHAD MORRIS, 51 of Arthur, IL, passed away at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.

A celebration of Chad’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Penn Station, 120 E. Progress Street in Arthur, IL.  Visitation will be held from 3:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. with a service starting at 6:30 P.M.   Pastor Jill Bunker will officiate.   The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Chad was born on August 17, 1969 in Wiesbaden, Germany.   He is a son of Darrell G. and Susan Lynn (Trabue) Morris.

Chad is survived by his mom, Susan Morris of Sullivan, IL, one brother, Greg Morris and his wife Kim of Charleston, IL; one sister, Anissa Riley and her husband Paul of Sullivan, IL; nephews and nieces, Jaxon and Audrey Morris, Bailey Turnbaugh, and

Jacob and Chloe Riley and his “Big Dog” and faithful companion, Brinx.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Darrell G. Morris, paternal grandparents, Loren and Kathleen Morris, maternal grandparents, Howard and June Trabue and a nephew, Logan Riley.

Chad was a 1987 graduate of Arthur High School.  He worked at Mueller Company in Decatur for over 25 years.

Chad enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and being on the water with friends.   He was a very compassionate man and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.   His greatest joy simply came from spending time with his family and friends.
