CHARLOTTE MURRAY, 63, of Arcola, IL passed away at 9:40 P.M., Monday, January 19, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2009 at the Edwards Funeral Home 221 E. Main St., Arcola, IL. Rev. John Higgins will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the funeral home.
Charlotte was born January 30, 1945 in Peoria, IL. She was a daughter of Henry E. and Doris (Croy) Carlberg. She married Billy Murray June 9, 1962 in Arcola, IL. He passed away August 18, 2006.
Survivors include one son John Murray of Tuscola, IL; one daughter Lisa Murray of Tuscola, IL; one granddaughter Sydney Murray of Tuscola, IL; one grandson, Travis Dallas of Chicago, IL; four siblings, Pat Smith of Aurora, IL, Jan Goss of Port Washington, WI, Henry Carlberg and his wife Juanita of Barefoot Bay, FL and Sandy Wielgosh and her husband Tom of Princeton, WI; one sister-in-law, Robin McCollum; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Her parents, her husband; one brother Ronnie Carlberg, one sister Shirley Hein and a sister-in-law, Barbara Ratteree preceded her in death.
Charlotte worked at Herff-Jones, Cap And Gown in Arcola, IL for 28 ½ years, retiring as a floor supervisor in 2003.
Charlotte enjoyed riding motorcycles when she was younger, trucking with her husband and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed caring for her “girls” Molly, Misty and Tiny.
Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice.
