CINDY JOHNSON, 65, of Arthur, IL passed away at 3:08 A.M. on Sunday, December 09, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Vine Street Christian Church, 249 South Vine St. in Arthur, IL. Rev. Dawn Ingram and Rev. Kevin Ray will officiate. Burial will be in the Keller Cemetery in Lovington, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Vine Street Christian Church. Cindy was born on June 26, 1947 in Decatur, IL. She was the daughter of Paul Eugene and Betty Jane (Brooks) White.

She is survived by one daughter Jill Hohlbauch and her husband Kevin of Arcola, IL and three grandchildren, KayLee Brooke, Keira Eliza and Kaden Eugene Hohlbauch.

Cindy was a member of the Lovington Christian Church and attended the Vine Street Christian Church; she was also a member of the Kaskaskia Country Club and the Arthur American Legion Auxiliary Unit 479.

Cindy graduated from Arthur High School in 1965. Following graduation she attended and trained at Illinois Commercial College in Champaign, IL. In 1968 Cindy started her career at the State Bank of Arthur and was planning to retire in June of 2013.

Cindy enjoyed bowling and golfing with her friends and also her “Card” Club. Cindy’s greatest joy was spending time with her daughter and her family, and attending their many activities, which included more softball games than most can imagine.

Cindy will be greatly and sadly missed by her family and friends.
