Clara Schrock

CLARA J. SCHROCK, 95, of Arthur, IL passed away at 7:02 A.M. Wednesday, August 01, 2012 at her residence in rural Arthur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Neil Hostetler residence 130 E. CR 200 N., Arthur, IL. Bishop Lavern Schrock will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in Arthur, IL. Visitation will be any time prior to the funeral service at the Neil Hostetler residence. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Clara was born January 2, 1917 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Joel and Lizzie (Gingerich) Beachey. She married Levi E. Schrock on May 6, 1937 in Moultrie County. He passed away November 6, 1988.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Edna Fern Schrock and her husband Reuben of Arcola, IL and Deloris Ann Hostetler and her husband Neil of Arthur, IL; 1 daughter-in-law, Viola Schrock of Arthur, IL; 22 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren and 36 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Fannie Mast and Lizzie Ann Miller both of Arthur, IL; 2 brothers, Lewis Beachey of Decatur, IL and Elmer Beachey of Mahomet, IL; 1 sister-in-law, Catherine Beachey of Mattoon, IL and 1 brother-in-law Henry Diener of White Pigeon, MI.

Her parents, husband, 2 sons, Lewis and Alvin, 2 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 5 sisters preceded her in death.

Clara was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith. She enjoyed gardening and quilting.
