Clara Yoder

CLARA S. (BEACHY) YODER, 85, of Arthur, IL passed away at 1:40 A.M. on October 11, 2016 at her residence in rural Arthur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Otto Center in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop David E. Schrock will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Otto Center.

Clara was born on September 28, 1931 in Arthur, IL. She was a daughter of Solomon D. and Maryan (Stutzman) Beachy. She married Noah J. Yoder on November 29, 1951 in Arthur, IL. He passed away on December 21, 2003.

Clara is survived by two sons: Glenn Yoder and his wife Irma of Arthur, IL and Wilmer Yoder and his wife Rosemary of Sullivan, IL; one daughter: Marie Herschberger of Arthur, IL; one sister: Barbara Otto of Arthur, IL; one brother: Elmer Beachy of Sarasota, FL; one brother-in-law: Ezra Plank of Lovington, IL; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Noah Yoder; one son: Willard Yoder; two grandsons: Richard Yoder and Phillip Yoder; parents: Sol and Maryan Beachy; two sisters: Alma Plank and Edna Plank; two brothers-in-law: Andy Plank and John Otto, and one sister-in-law: Millie Beachy.

Clara had worked at the Country Shoe Shop in rural Arthur for several years.

Clara was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
