Clark Peeler

CLARK EDGAR PEELER, 74, of Mattoon, IL formerly of Arcola, IL and Witt, IL passed away at 7:15 A.M. on Friday, April 8, 2011 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.

Clark was born on June 3, 1936 in Douglas County, Illinois. He was a son of John Albert Sr. and Sylvia Lydia (Conner) Peeler.

He is survived by one sister, Ruth Bellard of Champaign, IL and several nieces and nephews, Ruth’s children; Sharon Lindstrom of Champaign, IL, Debra Drake of Mattoon, IL, Jesse Lee Drake Jr. of Gulfport Mississippi and Sylvia Marie Logston of Champaign, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Harold, Gerald, John Jr. and Frank Peeler and one infant sister named Mary Lucinda Peeler.

Clark had worked for S&K Air Power Tool and Supply Corp. for several years and he had worked as a grounds keeper for a cemetery in Champaign, IL.

He was an avid Chicago Cub fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Clark has been a resident of the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL where he enjoyed feeding birds.
