CYNTHIA L. “CINDY” HANLEY, 50, of Arcola, IL passed away at 5:00 P.M. Friday, October 30, 2009 at her residence in Arcola, IL.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main Arcola IL. Rev. Matt McGregor officiated. Burial was held in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation was from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the funeral home.

Cindy was born on March 15, 1959 in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Leland Darrell and Betty Jean (Short) Hanley.

She is survived by her daughter, Deanna Hanley and Ronnie Muhich of Mahomet, IL, her mother, Betty Jean Hanley of Arcola, IL, one sister, Leiann Gapa and her husband Jerry of Oswego, IL, one niece Suzanne Gapa of Carbondale, IL, extended love family, Jana Sue, John, Jack and Jasie Nacke and several aunts uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, one sister, Lejean Hanley and one brother, Brian “Hondo” Hanley.

Cindy was a 1977 graduate of Arcola High School. She worked at Libman Broom Company in Arcola since 1977.

She was a member of the Appaloosa Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association.

Cindy enjoyed horseback riding, showing horses, helping with four-H spending time with family, friends, and her dogs.

Memorials were made to the Humane Society or the Arcola School Library.
