Dale Richeson

TUSCOLA—Dale E. Richeson, 81, Tuscola, IL died at 5:05 P.M. Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Visitation will be held 5:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Arthur Mennonite Church, 710 East Park St. in Arthur, IL. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the church. Burial will be in the Tuscola Township Cemetery. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Dale Elba Richeson was born on April 10, 1932 in Ashmore, IL the son of Elba and Ruby (Roberts) Richeson. He graduated from Kansas High School in 1946. He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. Dale worked at USI Chemical Plant in Tuscola, IL, retiring after 36 years of service. He was a high school basketball and football referee for many years. He was a breeder and owner of Standardbred Race Horses. Dale was a lifetime member of the Ansar Shriners, a Mason and a member of the 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite Temple. He was a member of the Tuscola Moose Lodge, the US Trotting Association and the Mustang Club of America, having shown many vintage mustangs throughout the U.S.

Dale is survived by his son Scott (Kim) Richeson of The Colony, TX; step-daughter Melissa (Kenny) Schrock of Arthur, IL; step-son J.P. (Susan) Yoars of Magnolia, TX; grandchildren, Cole and Kylie Richeson; Meredith, Erin and Nolan Schrock; Jarred, Christopher and Rhys Yoars.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
