Daniel M. Chupp

Daniel M. Chupp, 73, of Arthur, IL passed away at 8:51 AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the HCK West building, one mile south of Arthur. Bishop Howard Otto will officiate. Burial will follow in the Otto Cemetery. Visitations will be held anytime after 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024 and anytime after 10:00 AM on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the HCK West Building. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Daniel was born on August 11, 1951 in Tuscola, IL. He was the son of Menno J. and Sarah C (Gingerich) Chupp. He married Lorene B. Schrock on October 4, 1973; she passed away on May 21, 1993. He later married Dorothy H. Miller on June 9, 1994 in Arthur, IL.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy H. Chupp of Arthur, IL, six children, Treva Jess and he husband Paul of Arthur, IL, Betty Yoder and her husband Nathan of Arthur, IL, Gary Chupp and his wife Esther of Arthur, IL, Marvin Chupp and his wife Susan of Vienna, IL, Rachel Miller and her husband Lamar of Arthur, IL and Merle Chupp and his wife Regina of Arthur, IL, 37 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother, Elva Chupp and his wife Bertha Lorene of Arthur, IL, and three sisters, Barbara Ann Schrock of Lovington, IL, Bertha Beachy and her husband Freeman of Arthur, IL and Elnora Miller of Arthur, IL, and one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Chupp of Arthur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lorene B. (Schrock) Chupp, one brother, Ervin Chupp, two sisters, Annie Marie Otto and her husband Junior and Dorothy Otto and her husband Levi, and two brothers-in-law, Omer Schrock and Marvin Miller.

Daniel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
