Daniel Kaufman

DANIEL J. KAUFMAN, 98, of Arthur, IL passed away at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at his residence

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the HCK West Building in rural Arthur, IL.  Bishop Howard A. Otto will officiate.  Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery.  Visitation will be held any time after 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the HCK West Building.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Daniel was born May 11, 1923 in Moultrie County, IL.   He was a son of Jephthah G. and Rebecca S. (Miller) Kaufman.  He married Malinda Mae Miller on August 23, 1945, in Douglas County, IL she passed away April 7, 2000.  He later married Annie J Beachy November 15, 2001 in Moultrie County, IL.

Survivors include his wife Annie Kaufman, 3 sons William D. Kaufman and his wife Patti Jo of Fort Wayne, IN, Dannie D Kaufman and his wife Edna Me of Rexford, MT, and Merle D. Kaufman and his  wife Dorothy of Arthur, IL; 3 daughters Nancy D. Schrock of Arthur, IL, Katie D. Kaufman of Arthur, IL and Elizabeth D. and her husband Willis E. Schrock of Arcola, IL; 16 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by his first wife Malinda Miller, his parents Jeff and Rebecca Kaufman; one sister Katie and 5 brothers Andy, Amzy, Noah, Reuben and Felty.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
