Daniel Schrock

DANIEL A. SCHROCK, 74, of Warsaw, OH formerly of Arthur, IL passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Sycamore Run Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL. Rev. Howard Kuhns will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL. There was a visitation in Ohio. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements.

Dan was born on March 10, 1937 in Arthur, IL. He was a son of Menno and Sovilla (Mast) Schrock. He married Marie Herschberger on January 29, 1957.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; three sons and three daughters, Gary (Mary) Schrock of Montezuma, GA, Dale Schrock of Hammond, IL, Ernest Schrock of Warsaw, OH, Carolyn (John) Stutzman of Warsaw, OH, Ruth (Jon) Miller of Goshen, IN and Dorothy (Elvin) Stoltzfus of Honey Brook, PA, currently serving in Liberia West Africa; twenty-four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Levi Schrock of Arthur, IL, Abe Schrock of Arthur, IL and Andrew Schrock of Bowling Green, FL and one sister, Anna Helmuth of Arthur, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John.

Dan was a member of the Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL.
