Deborah Leganger-Thomason

DEBORAH ELLEN LEGANGER-THOMASON, 49, of Champaign, IL passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, April 1, 2011.

Debbie was born on December 10, 1961 at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. She was raised in Glenview, IL and was the daughter of Lawrence and Dale (Baumrucker) Leganger who preceded her in death.

Cherished wife of Kenneth Thomason, Loving Mother of Ricky Readal 16, Kenny 11, Connor 9, and Caitlin 8 Thomason, fond sister of David Leganger, dear aunt of Daniel and Nick Leganger of Third Lake, IL. Devoted granddaughter of Rose Marie Baumrucker of Downers Grove, IL. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Ken and Velma Thomason of St. Elmo, IL and stepfather, Hartley Ladd of Florida, along with many loving family and friends.

Debbie was founder and director of Champaign County Rottweiler Rescue. She had a great love for all God’s creatures.

In lieu of flowers, donations to her family would be appreciated.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. with a Celebration of Debbie’s life at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, April 8, 2011 at New Horizon United Methodist Church, 3002 West Bloomington Road, Champaign, IL. (217-359-8909) Followed by a luncheon. The Edwards Funeral Home of Arcola, IL is assisting with arrangements.
