Donald Dominix

DONALD J. DOMINIX, 84, of Vero Beach, FL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 4:15 A.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Florida Baptist Retirement Center in Vero Beach, FL.

Military Honors prior to burial in the Danville National Cemetery in Danville, IL will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2015. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Mr. Dominix was born on August 11, 1930 in Buffalo, NY. He was a son of Joseph John and Frieda (Maurer) Dominix.

He is survived by one son, Donald B. Dominix; three daughters, Deborah Perryman, Jeanette Robinson and Linda Kornman; one sister and two brothers.

Mr. Dominix was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a Paratrooper, 11th Airborne.

Mr. Dominix had been in Television Broadcasting in Terre Haute, IN, his TV show was called The Don’s Cartoon Theater. He also operated an advertising business. He later retired from Lake Land College where he served as a job placement officer, upon retiring he moved to Arcola, IL.
