DONALD CLEO SPEARS, 80 of Arcola, IL formerly of Decatur, IL passed away at 8:00A.M. on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Mattoon, IL.

A graveside service was held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 1, 2010 in the Danville National Cemetery, Danville, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home of Arcola, IL assisted with funeral arrangements.

Donald was born on August 13, 1929 in Decatur, IL. He was a son of Cleo and Myrtle (Gilbert) Spears.

Donald is survived by one son, Donald C. Nave of Decatur, IL; two stepsons, Doyle Nave of Florida and Larry Nave of Decatur, IL; one stepdaughter Donna Basnett of Florida; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents.

Donald had worked at Wagoner Casting and Essex Wire in Decatur, Illinois.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW and Decatur Eagles Club in Decatur, Illinois.
