Donna Edwards

Donna Lee Edwards, 78, of Humboldt, IL passed away at 2:05 A.M. on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main St., Arcola, IL.  Pastor Steven Stern will officiate.  Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service, from 4:00 P.M.to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Donna was born on November 29, 1942 in Arthur, IL.  She was a daughter of Don Ernest and Dorothy Estelle (Davis) Hutchcraft.  She married Robert Leon Edwards on December 8, 1961 in Mattoon, IL.  He passed away on October 27, 2011.

She is survived by 1 son, Edward Merrill Edwards and his wife Wendy of Humboldt, IL, 3 stepchildren, Gary L. “Whitey” Edwards of Arcola, IL, Terry Hardwick and her husband Rick of Tuscola, IL and Lorrie Hawk of Arcola, IL, 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Sparks and her husband Justin of Middletown, OH, Danielle Edwards of Mattoon, IL, Andrew Edwards of Mattoon, IL and Chyna Edwards of Mattoon, IL, 11 step grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, Zach Sparks, Leeland Sparks and Jase Sparks, and Cameron Ingram, 25 step great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Deanna Dallas of Arthur, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Snyder, two brothers, Robert Hutchcraft and Dale Hutchcraft and a step-great-grandson, Caleb Robert Hardwick.

Donna was a member a member of Walnut Grove Christian Church in rural Arcola, IL

She enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting, arts and crafts and spending time with her family.
