DOROTHY ALBERTA MOUTRAY, 85, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 6:12 P.M. on Friday, September 11, 2009 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Rev. Eugene Black will officiate. Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery Visitation will be from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on November 24, 1923 in Mattoon, IL. She was a daughter of Roy Russell and Anneta (Walker) Morrow. She married Albert W. Moutray in April of 1956. He passed away on April 24, 2008.

She is survived by six children, Lonnie Piercey of Kansas City, KS, Gloria Langley of Arcola, IL, Vickie Espinoza of Arcola, IL, Steve Piercey of Westville, IN, Larry Moutray and his wife Mary of Charleston, IL, Terry Moutray and his wife Dana of Mattoon, IL; one stepdaughter Jackie Wallace of Long Poke, CA; one brother, Alfred Morrow and his wife Judy of Topeka, KS; twenty five grandchildren, thirty four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, one son Dave Moutray, one daughter, one grandchild, three great-grandchildren, four sisters, and two brothers preceded her in death.

Dorothy was a member of the Moose in Mattoon, IL, the Mattoon United Methodist Church and she was a Rebekah.

Dorothy retired in the early 1980s as a certified nurses aid she worked at Cunningham’s Nursing Home, Douglas Nursing Home, Mattoon Health Care, Mattoon Manor and the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL. She enjoyed flowers and shopping and spending time with her family.
