DOROTHY SHAW, 84, St. Charles, MO, formerly of Tuscola, IL passed away at 1:43 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2010 at The Villages in St. Peters, MO.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the Edwards Funeral Home 221 E. Main St., Arcola, IL. Rev. Bruce Baker officiated. Burial was in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born April 11, 1925 in Tuscola, IL. She was a daughter of Andy and Grace (Baker) Thompson. She married Thomas Dale Shaw on September 14, 1945 in Douglas County, IL. He passed away on December 14, 1991.
Survivors include one daughter Rita Hermann and her husband James of St. Peters, MO; one grandson Tom Hermann of Columbia, MO and one granddaughter Lisa Hermann of St. Peters, MO.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Dorothy retired from Jarman Hospital in Tuscola, IL with over 20 years of service. She had worked at Dollar General and Vitamin World in Tuscola prior to moving to Missouri.
