Edna Helmuth

Edna (Chupp) Helmuth, 84, of Arthur, IL passed away at 7:15 P.M. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at the HCK West building, one mile south of Arthur.  Visitation will be held anytime after 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at the HCK building.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Edna was born in rural Arthur, on June 25, 1935 to Daniel and Anna (Beachy) Chupp.  She was married, in rural Arthur, to Adlai Helmuth on November 27, 1956.  They lived in matrimony 62 years, 11 months.

Born to this union, one daughter, Margaret married to Reuben Miller of Arcola, two sons, Paul married to Katie Diener and Raymond married to Gladys Herschberger, both of Arthur.  Also, 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, one brother, Reuben Chupp and his wife Fannie Mae, one brother-in-law, Andrew Hostetler and his wife Wilma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Anna Chupp, one brother, Jacob Chupp and three sisters, Lydia Ann Herschberger, Verna Chupp and Ruby Hostetler.

Edna helped operate the HCK and the Family Health Food Store in Arthur, IL.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
