Elbert Goad

Elbert Charles Goad, 75, of Danville, IL passed away at 11:45 A.M. on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at OSF Hospital in Danville, IL.

Charles was born on September 22, 1947 in Tompkinsville, KY.  He was a son of Oscar and Elsie Ruthie (King) Goad.

He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Vanpelt, granddaughter, Jordan Messisco and two grandsons, Aaron and Joshua Knodel, great-granddaughter, Kensley Knodel all of Colorado Springs, CO, and one sister, Melba Clough and her husband Leland of New Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Charles Cerdena and Margaret Catherine Goad, and one brother, Elvin Goad.

Charles graduated from Arcola High School in 1965.

Charles was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was a retired master plumber, working for Jolly Plumbing in Colorado Springs after 43 years of service.   Charles had also worked for the Arcola School district as a custodian.

Charles enjoyed camping and fishing.
