Eleanor Bright

ELEANOR RUTH BRIGHT, 86 of Arcola, IL passed away at 7:17 A.M. on Wednesday, November 07, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Rev. Dave Dolan will officiate. Burial will be in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.

Eleanor was born on September 15, 1926 in Champaign, IL. She was a daughter of Fred Herschel and Alma Elizabeth Rebecca (Nofftz) Brown. She married Gerald Sexton Bright on March 12, 1946 in Arcola, IL. He passed away on September 17, 2001.

She is survived by three sons, Roger Bright and his wife Johnetta of North Port, FL, Stephen Bright and his wife Paula of Mattoon, IL and Paul Bright and his wife Michelle of Arcola, IL; one brother, Donald Brown and his wife Sue of Missouri; six grandchildren, Todd Bright and his wife Heather of Mahomet, IL, Taisha Albert and her husband Van of Cerro Gordo, IL, Dawn Owen and her husband Whit of Mattoon, IL, Joshua Bright and his wife Andrea of Mattoon, IL, Lucas Bright and his wife Stephanie of Monticello, IL and Matthew Bright of Arcola, IL; nine great-grandchildren Caleb Bright, Dustin, Eric and Lindsey Chapman, Blaize Albert, Zak Owen and his special friend Airelle Beasley, Andy and Izzy Owen and Landon Bright.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald and one sister, Edith Edwards.

Eleanor was a member of the New Life Tabernacle in Sullivan, IL.

She will always be remembered as a peacemaker. She liked to go out to eat, some of her favorites were Mexican Food and barbeque ribs.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
