Eleazar Ruiz Galvan

Eleazar “Elle” Ruiz Galvan, 31 of Chicago, IL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 8:26 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main Street in Arcola, IL. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, in the Arcola Cemetery.

Elle was born on August 4, 1993, in Guadalupe Nuevo, Leon, Mexico. He was a son of Eliazar Ruiz Ortiz and Adriana Galvan. 

He is survived by his parents, Eliazar and Adriana Ruiz, Jessica Ruiz Galvan, Alexander Ruiz Galvan, Karla Melissa Ruiz Galvan, and John David Ruiz Galvan all of Arcola, IL, maternal grandparents, Carlos and Carmina Galvan of Arcola, IL, paternal grandmother, Oralia Ortiz of Houston, TX, and one nephew, Alexander Ruiz Lopez Jr.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ernesto Ruiz Flores, and one uncle, Ricardo Galvan Lira. 

Elle was a 2012 graduate of Arcola High School. He attended Parkland College and then transferred to Columbia College in Chicago where he earned his bachelor’s degree in art/marketing in 2017.

Elle had various interests during his life. He loved working out, enjoyed running by Lake Shore Drive in Chicago, going out with friends to dance, shopping, grabbing coffee, and traveling to new places with friends. He loved to babysit dogs from time to time and really enjoyed spending time with his close friends. 

Elle always had a positive attitude towards life, was a go-getter, and never gave up on accomplishing his goals. He worked in the fashion industry after graduating from Columbia College Chicago and was planning to make a debut return in the fashion industry in 2025. He was a bright light with the sweetest soul and touched the lives of many. He will be forever missed by his family and friends. His legacy will carry on for eternity.
