ENRIQUE GALVAN LOPEZ, 76, of Estancia de Guadalupe, Sombrerete, Zacatecas passed away at 5:35 A.M. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Arcola, IL. Father Michel will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 Sunday evening at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Burial will be in Ex Hacienda de Corrales, Sombrerete, Zacatecas, Mexico.
Enrique was born on July 15, 1936 in Zacatecas, Mexico. He was a son of Maxímiano Galvan and Rosa Lopez. He married Comcepcion Castillo on February 10, 1956 in Sombrerete, Zacatecas.
He is survived by his wife Comcepcion of Estancia de Guadalupe, Sombrerete, Zacatecas; his nine children, Juan Jose Galvan of Mexico, Oliva Galvan of Tuscola, IL, Oscar Galvan of Thornton, CO, Bertha Galvan of Thomasville, NC, Luis Enrique Galvan of Salt Lake City, UT, Maria de Jesus Galvan of Mexico, Florencio Galvan of Mexico, Raquel Galvan of Thomasville, NC, Elias Galvan of Mexico; 32 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Enrique was preceded in death by a son Ubaldo Galvan.
He was farmer in Mexico and a member of the Catholic Church.
