Ervin Chupp

ERVIN M. CHUPP, 72, of Arthur, IL passed away at 2:50 A.M. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the former Mast Harness building in rural Arthur, IL. Bishop Eli Schlabach will officiate. Burial will be in the Otto Cemetery in rural Arthur, IL. Visitation will be anytime prior to the funeral at the Mast Harness Shop. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Ervin was born on September 28, 1937 in Arthur, IL he was a son of Menno J. and Sarah C. (Gingerich) Chupp. He married Elizabeth Hostetler on September 27, 1956 in Arcola, IL.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Chupp of Arthur, IL; eight children, Katie Viola Gingerich and her husband Lester of Arthur, IL, Elva E. Chupp and his wife Alta of Humboldt, IL, Dorothy Marie Farmwald and her husband John of Sullivan, IL, Willis E. Chupp and his wife Fannie Mae of Arcola, IL, Carolyn Kay Mast and her husband Reuben of Campbell Hill, IL, Bertha Lorene Diener and her husband Larry of Arthur, IL, Glen Ray Chupp and his wife Betty of Sullivan, IL and Loretta Ann Herschberger and her husband Marlin of Humboldt, IL; 44 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elva Chupp and his wife Bertha of Arthur, IL and Daniel Chupp and his wife Dorothy of Arthur, IL; four sisters, Dorothy Otto and her husband Levi of Sullivan, IL, Barbara Ann Schrock and her husband Omer of Lovington, IL, Bertha Beachy and her husband Freeman of Arthur, IL and Elnora Miller and her husband Marvin of Arthur, IL and a brother-in-law Junior Otto of Arcola, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Anna Marie Otto, and three grandchildren, Wilbur Leroy Gingerich, Leanna Mast and Ervin Ray Chupp

Ervin was a member of the Old Order Amish Faith.
