Fannie Schrock

FANNIE J. SCHROCK, 91, of Arthur, IL formerly of Cerro Gordo, IL and Arcola, IL passed away at 4:35 A.M. on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Arthur Home.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at the Pleasant View Church in rural Arcola, IL. Howard Kuhns officiated. Burial was in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery. Visitation was from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Pleasant View Church. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Fannie was born on October 29, 1919 in Douglas County, IL. She was a daughter of Jacob and Katie (Helmuth) Otto. She married Harley J. Schrock on January 22, 1948 in Arcola, IL. He passed away on April 16, 1999.

She is survived by one son Lawrence Schrock and his wife Cheryl of Arcola, IL; one daughter Rachel Ghere and her husband Ken of Cerro Gordo, IL; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister Amanda Kemp of Arcola, IL; one brother Elmer Otto and his wife Nancy of Sullivan, IL and a sister-in-law, Nancy Otto Arthur, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Noah Otto, one sister, Elizabeth Schrock, one granddaughter, Lisa Schrock, and three great-grandchildren, Carmon Schrock, and Cody and Cameron Schrock.

Fannie was a member of the Pleasant View Church in Arcola, IL.

She enjoyed word-search books and quilting.

Memorials were made to the family.
