Fannie Yoder

FANNIE YODER, 95 of Arthur, IL went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:20 P.M. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the Arthur Home.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Arthur Mennonite Church, 710 East Park Street in Arthur, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Arthur Mennonite Church. Rev. Glen Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. The Edwards funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Fannie was born on November 16, 1916 in Yoder, KS. She was a daughter of Levi and Anna (Eash) Chupp. She married Sylvanus N. Yoder on November 3, 1938 in Arthur, IL. They were married 68 years. He passed away on July 23, 2007.

She is survived by one son, Levi Yoder and his wife Gloria of Lovington, IL; four daughters, Sarah Storm and her husband Dick of Arthur, IL, Katie Haines of Goshen, IN, Elsie Gingerich and her husband Ervin of Goshen, IN and Cora Tyhurst and her husband Ray of Arthur, IL; one sister, Sarah Beachy of Goshen, IN; thirteen grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, ten step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Polly Beachy and Gertrude Gingerich, two brothers, Anson and Andrew Chupp and one son-in-law, Leland Haines.

Fannie was a homemaker, cake decorator, and her hobby was piecing quilts. Many people were blessed by her gift of hospitality. She was a member of the Arthur Mennonite Church.
