Frank Day

FRANK J. DAY, 61, of Atwood, IL passed away at 3:45 A.M. on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Arcola Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Atwood, IL, 231 N. Illinois St. in Atwood, IL. Rev. Lanny Faulkner will officiate. Burial will be in the Mackville Cemetery in Atwood, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the First Baptist Church of Atwood, IL. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Frank was born on January 20, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN. He is a son of Charles Dean and Irene Deloris (Chamness) Day. He married Sandra I. Ramsey in 1986. She passed away in 2006.

He is survived by two sons, Derek Kyle Day of Atwood, IL and John Andrew Steffens and his special friend Megan Michele Mason of Mattoon, IL; his father, Charles Dean Day of Washington, IN; two brothers, Eddie Day and his wife Shirley of Arcola, IL and Dennis Day of Washington, IN; three sisters, Sheila Murray of Lawrenceburg, KY, Brenda Sue Kimery of Weirton, WV and Diana Garner of Weldon, IL; six nieces and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife, Sandra I. Day and one brother, Steve Day.

Frank worked at Progress Industries in Arthur, IL for thirty-two years. He loved electronics, camping, music, especially “classic rock” and spending time with his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his family.
