Freddie Sias

FREDDIE SIAS, 74, of Mattoon, IL passed away at 6:20 P.M. on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Home in Mattoon, IL.

Memorial services were held in Mattoon, IL at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisted with arrangements.

Freddie was born on July 19, 1938 in Greenville, MS. She was a daughter of Fred and Eliza (Pickens) Sias.

Freddie is survived by one brother, Charles Sias (Onetta) of Phoenix, AZ; four sisters, Dorothy Reed of Glendale Heights, IL, LaVerne G. Sams (George) of Lake Barrington, IL, Alfreeda Chapman (Theodore) of Chicago, IL, and Patricia Ellis (John) of Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Alfreeda Marshall of Little Rock, AR; four nieces, nine nephews, and a host of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and (List names of brothers and sisters ect…)

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Fred (Doug) Sias, Jr. and one nephew, Kevin Sias.

Freddie was a member of the Crossover Church in Mattoon, IL.

She graduated college with a degree in Education and Business Administration. Freddie had been employed at Blue Cross/ Blue Shields, Lakeland College, Lincolnland Visiting Nurses and most recently at Just Rite Manufacturing in Mattoon, IL.

She enjoyed her work, traveling meeting people and sharing stories. Her pets Jellybean and Precious were her 4 legged children that happened to have fur.

She had many friends since Freddie never met a stranger twice and her friends were her family. Her laugh was infectious and her heart was made of gold.
