Geneva Navel

GENEVA RUTH NAVEL, 90, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 7:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the Tuscola Health Care Center.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Edwards Funeral Home, 221 East Main in Arcola, IL. Rev. Tony Crouch will officiate. Burial will be in the Bourbon Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Geneva was born on July 4, 1922 in Sims, IL. She was a daughter of William Ernest and Nancy Anna (Linder) Dallas. She married Leroy Navel on January 21, 1939 in Rockville, IN. He passed away on November 13, 2002.

She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Enyart and her husband Dean of Arthur, IL, Ruth Ann Navel of Tuscola, IL, Judy Upright and her husband Jim of Oklahoma City, OK and Kathy Terril and her husband John of Atwood, IL; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leroy Navel, two sons, Allen Navel and Dale Navel, two grandsons, Gary Enyart and Bobby Brant, two great-granddaughters, Holly and Heather Enyart, one brother, John Dallas and three sisters, Lena Windland, Ruby Talley and Verona Dallas.

Geneva was a member of the Bourbon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and vacation bible school. She was also involved with missions at the church.

Geneva liked to entertain and had many parties in her home. She enjoyed gardening and canned most of the produce that she and her husband would grow.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She always looked forward to their annual camping trips to Lake Hide Away in Kingman, IN.
