Gerald Daniels

GERALD EUGENE DANIELS, 80, of Arcola, IL passed away at 10:40 A.M. on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at his residence.

Funeral services was held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Edwards Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Winch officiated. Burial was in the Arcola Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the funeral home.

Gerald was born on April 22, 1929 in Moultrie County, IL. He was a son of Charles and Freda Fern (Moran) Daniels. He married Edna Mae Huckstep on July 12, 1952 in Arcola, IL.

He is survived by his wife Edna of Arcola, IL; seven children, Betty Price and her husband Mick of Atwood, IL, Patricia Albert and her husband David of Toledo, IL, Connie Barbee of Atwood, IL, Jeff Daniels and his wife Sheri of Mattoon, IL, Larry Daniels of Norman, IL, Darlene Richards of West Lebanon, IN and Donna White of Neoga, IL; 15 loving grandchildren, Amy Gower and her husband Scott, Jeremy Albert and his wife Pam, Salena, Shaye and Deanna Albert, Christina Wilson and her husband Jack, Mikey Barbee and his wife Amanda, Dallas Daniels, Jill Blumoff and her husband Greg, Amy Pierce and her fiancé Josh, Josh Daniels and his wife Callie, Chris Daniels, Amber Robinson, Kyla, Kami and Kandace Richards and Brandon and Austin White; 12 great-grandchildren, Lukas, Draven, Ace, Jasmine, Hailey, Joshua, Jolynn, Jonathan, Lelynd, Savaiah, Bayleih and Zayden and one brother, Earl Daniels and his wife Alice of Strasburg., IL

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne.

Gerald was an Army Veteran.

Gerald retired from Progress Industries in Arthur, IL 1991with 25 years of service.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and wife. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was a Dale Earnhardt Sr. fan and enjoyed dirt track racing.

He also enjoyed going to garage sales and visiting with his buddies at the body shop. He also enjoyed his dogs, Buttons and Suzie.
