Gerald Miller

GERALD LYNN MILLER, 41, of Decatur, IL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 9:52 A.M. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at St. Mary’s hospital in Decatur, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Otto Center, rural Arthur, IL. Pastor Duane Kuhns will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Mennonite Church Cemetery in rural Arcola, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at the Otto Center. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Gerald was born on November 16, 1972 in Bloomington, IL. He is a son of Henry Daniel and Mary Ellen (Miller) Miller. He married Loretta Fern Otto on April 24, 1991 in Tuscola, IL. She passed away on January 23, 2003.

He is survived by four children, Regina Miller and her boyfriend, Jason Harlin of Arthur, IL, Gary D. Miller of Patuxent River, MD, Glen R. Miller and his girlfriend Linsey Pierantoni of Decatur, IL and Raymond L. Miller of Decatur, IL; one grandson, Marshall M. Miller of Decatur, IL; his mother, Mary Ellen Miller of Dundee, OH; one sister, Margaret Miller of Decatur, IL and a niece and a nephew, Beverly and Cody Miller.

He was preceded in death by his wife and father.

Gerald farmed and drove a truck for most of his life. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends especially his grandson.
