Glendal Dalton

GLENDAL O. DALTON, 93 of Arthur, IL passed away at 6:12 P.M. on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services with a visitation two hours prior will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Falls of Rough, Kentucky. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Trent and Dow Funeral Home is assisting in Kentucky. A visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL

Glendal was born on June 19, 1919 in Falls of Rough, KY. He was a son of Arthur and Susana (Wallace) Dalton. He married Julia Geary in 1940. She passed away in 1973. He later married Virginia Hornbach, she passed away in 1990, later he married Virginia Hopper and she passed away in 2003.

Glendal is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Glendal was a very skilled man that could fix just about anything. He had worked at Progress Industries in Arthur before going to work for Paul and Stanley Schrock at Schrock Cabinet Factory in Arthur. Glendal worked at Schrock’s in the Maintenance Department from 1971until he retired in 1999. He was rehired at Schrock’s as a security guard and worked on special projects for several more years.

Glendal was a member of the Vine Street Christian Church in Arthur, IL.

He enjoyed going out to eat and drinking coffee. He also was a pilot and had his own plane for several years.
