HERALD REIMER, 82, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 4:58 P.M. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

No services are planned. Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Herald was born June 24, 1926 in Assumption, IL. He was a son of James Joseph and Mary Loretta (Harrington) Reimer. He married Helen Huffman January 3, 1949 in Mattoon, IL, she passed away December 4, 1974. He later married Barbara Dee May 10, 1975 in Mattoon, IL.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Reimer of Mattoon, IL; one daughter Belinda Fulkerson and her husband Craig, one granddaughter Becky Baltz and her husband Mike, one great-grandson Trever Baltz all of Henderson, NV and one sister Ann Cookson and her husband Don of Mahomet, IL.

His parents, his first wife Helen, six sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.

Herald retired from ANAMET Metal Hose of Mattoon, IL in 1991 with over 25 years of service. Herald also farmed and mowed lawns with a push mower after he retired.
