Ida Kinnaman

IDA MAE (GOENS) KINNAMAN, 88 of Mattoon, IL passed away at 6:32 P.M. on Monday, July 25, 2011 at her home in Mattoon.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday July 28, 2011 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Rev. Tom Pullen and Rev. Rockie Holcombe will officiate. Burial will be in the Humboldt Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Ida Mae was born on August 29, 1922 in Clay County, Illinois. She was the daughter of John and Nettie (Chapman) Ramsey. Ida Mae married George Goens on October 22, 1939 in St. Charles, MO. He passed away on December 31, 1971. She later married Carl E. Kinnaman on April 30, 1976 in Mattoon, IL. He passed away on January 5, 1982.

She is survived by one son Charles Ebert Goens and his wife Laveta of Mattoon, IL; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Her parents, three brothers, Rayford, Ervin and Glenn, and five sisters, LuElla Sapp, Flossie Edwards, Dorothy Ramsey, Daisy Hughes and Ruby Goens preceded her in death.

Ida Mae was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Mattoon, IL; the Humane Society, and was a Cancer Survivor since 1983.

She retired as a seamstress from Mattoon Garment Factory with over sixteen years of service.
