Imogene Lundy

IMOGENE LUNDY, 81, of Villa Grove, IL passed away at 11:55 A.M. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Arthur Home.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Victory Church in Camargo, IL. Rev Duane Piercey officiated. Burial was in the Villa Grove Cemetery. Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral at the church. The Edwards Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Imogene was born on November 19, 1928 in Camargo, IL. She was a daughter of Bennie Barton and Dorothy Cleone (Mann) Holcomb. She married Ernest Lovell Lundy on June 15, 1946 in Tompkinsville, KY. He passed away on December 19, 1996.

She is survived by four children, Virginia Carter and her husband Ed of Tuscola, IL; Brenda Farris and her husband Glenn of Payson, IL, Sandy Miller and her husband Marlon of Arthur, IL and Carol Piershale and her husband John of Springfield, IL; one sister, Phyllis Richardson and her husband Earl of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Jess Holcomb and his wife Julia of Byron, GA; fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Jonathon Lundy and Byron Lundy, three brothers, infant twin brothers, George Ray and William Faye Holcomb and Bart Holcomb; one sister, Nyla Quick and a grandson, Jeremy Farris.

She was a member of Victory Church of Camargo, IL

Imogene enjoyed crocheting and quilting.
