Irma Diener

IRMA DIENER, 84, of Lovington, IL passed away at 3:50 A.M. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL.

Visitation was held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 and will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Otto Center, 1 mile South of Arthur, IL.   Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Otto Center in rural Arthur, IL.   Burial will be in the Trinity Christian Fellowship Cemetery in rural Sullivan, IL.   The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Irma was born on September 16, 1932 in Kokomo, IN.   She was a daughter of George and Fannie (Herschberger) Plank.   She married Dannie Diener on October 22, 1953 in Moultrie County, Illinois.

Irma is survived by her husband Dannie Diener; five children, Darrell (Lorraine Helmuth) Diener of Arcola, IL, Eloise (Glen) Gingerich of Arthur, IL, Creta (Wallace) Byler of Huntsville, AR, Edna (Willis) Schrock of Russellville, KY and Arnold (Teresa Petershiem) Diener of Arthur, IL; two sisters, Ella Stutzman of Humboldt, IL and Sarah Plank of Wimauma, FL; twenty eight grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Dave, Irwin and John Plank.

Irma was a member of the Trinity Christian Fellowship.   She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
