James Poundstone Jr.

JAMES LEON “TINY” POUNDSTONE JR., 74, of Villa Grove, IL passed away at 3:03 P.M. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Newman Rehab and Health Care Center in Newman, IL.

A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Eagle Mountain Assembly of God, 401 East Sale St., in Tuscola, IL.  The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

James was born on August 26, 1943 in Monticello, IL.  He was a son of James Leon Sr., and Gertrude Evelyn (Norberg) Poundstone.  He married Ollene Louise Hutson on March 26, 1986 in Bourbon, IL.

He is survived by his wife Ollene Poundstone of Villa Grove, IL, one step daughter, Marla Kay Davis of Toledo, IL, two step-grandchildren, William Davis of Tuscola, IL and Sara Newlin of Arthur, IL, one step-great-grandson, Logan Newlin and three sisters, Linda Gianesin of Mundelien, IL, Janice Poundstone of Danville, IL and Sonni Board of Kansas, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents,

James had worked for Schrock Dry Wall for many 14 years until going to work at Master Brand Cabinets in Arthur for 26 years.  He then taxied for the Amish up until his retirement.

He was a member of the Moose in Clinton, IN, and an Honorary Member of the Paris VFW.

James enjoyed watching sports on TV and spending time with his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family or to the American Heart Association.
