James Shull

JAMES R. SHULL, 85, of Rensselaer, IN formerly of Arcola, IL passed away on January 20, 2017 at the Rensselaer Care Center.

A memorial visitation will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL.

James was born on May 18, 1931 in Arcola, IL. He was a son of James and Roslea (Walley) Shull. He married his beloved wife of 65 years, Phyllis Ruth Edwards on November 22, 1951 in Arcola, IL.

He is survived by his loving wife: Phyllis; two children: James Shull and his wife Nancy and Bryon Shull and his wife Marie; one granddaughter: Kathleen Usery; two great-grandchildren: Alexis Smith and James Smith; one great-great-grandson: Clyde Smith; and two sisters, Linda McKinley and Judy Webster.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Albert Shull and Charles Shull; and two sisters: Ruth Montague and Evelyn Franklin.

James was an Iron worker for Local 395 and he was a past master for the Wheatfield Masonic Lodge 642. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting and taking care of their home. James will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
