James Smith

James "Taco" Smith, 59, of Charleston, IL formerly of Humboldt, IL passed away at 1:13 P.M. on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Charleston Rehabilitation and Health Care.

Taco was born on October 14, 1948 in Kirk, Kentucky. He was a son of Thomas Owen and Mary Rachel (Arms) Smith.

He is survived by four children, Amanda Michelle Smith of Dallas, TX, Jamie Smith and his wife Carrie of Tuscola, IL, Angie Smith of Tuscola, IL and Nathan Smith of Mattoon, IL; eight brothers and sisters, Ruby Decker of Arthur, IL, Don Smiley and his wife Shirley of Arcola, IL, Mary Stewart and her husband Robert of Hugo, IL, Voncille Hudson and her husband Steve of Evansville, IN, Elsie Condarco of Arcola, IL, John Allen Smith and his wife Mary of Owensboro, KY, Judy Ashley of Celina, TN and Wayne Smith of Kemp, IL and several nieces and nephews.

Taco had worked as a truck driver, but just prior to his illness, he had been employed at Okaw Truss in Chesterville, IL. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
