JANET S. CARIE, 82, of Tuscola, IL passed away at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, August 26, 2011 at Mason Point in Sullivan, IL

Janet was born on September 27, 1928 in Winchester, Mass. She was a daughter of Clair and Marion (Jerauld) Simendinger. She married James T. Lynch on September 9, 1951 in Watertown, Mass. He passed away on September 25, 1974. She later married Thomas Carrie on August 22, 1985 in Arcola, IL He passed away on September 9, 2004

She is survived by five sons, Kevin Lynch and his wife DiAnne of Yorktown, IN, Brian Lynch of Tuscola, IL, Tracy Lynch of Urbana, IL, David Lynch and his wife Annalisa of Loveland, CO and Terry Lynch and his wife Amy of St. Joseph, IL; four step-children, Thomas Carie Jr. and his wife Becky of Raleigh, NC, Mark Carie and his wife Peggy of Tuscola, IL, Juli Baird and her husband John of Tuscola, IL and Jana Rodmaker and her husband Jeff of Tuscola, IL; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, eight step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Kenneth Simendinger of North Brookfield, Mass.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and one sister Shirley Simendinger.

Janet was retired from Cilco in Tuscola, IL.

Private graveside services will be held in the Tuscola Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Douglas County Animal Shelter or to the donor’s choice.
