JANNA LYNN NALE, 64, of Charleston, IL formerly of Arcola, IL passed away at 11:21 P.M. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday September 4, 2010 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Arcola, IL. Father Barry Harmon officiated.
Janna was born on May 27, 1946 in Charleston, IL. She was a daughter of
Darrell Edward and Helen Ruth (Walden) Finney.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann Huckstep and her fiancé Kim Benner of Atwood, IL and Patricia Ingram of Mattoon, IL; four grandchildren, Matthew Huckstep of Arcola, IL, Melissa Petrie and her husband Chad of Arcola, IL, Jenny Huckstep of Arcola, IL and Brandon Ingram of Mattoon, IL; one great-grandson, Kolten Petrie and four brothers, Dennis Shaffer of Tucson, AZ, Mike Finney, Bill Finney and Danny Finney all of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Jessica Anne Huckstep, and one great-granddaughter, Makenzie LeAnne Petrie.
Janna had worked for Dr. Climaco in Arcola, IL for several years.
Janna was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. She was an avid reader and loved playing computer puzzle games. She was very intelligent with an extensive vocabulary that served her well when she was completing one of many crossword puzzles.
In earlier years, she loved cooking, fishing, camping, playing pool, gardening, painting, singing, and dancing. She loved being around people and living life to the fullest.
She was a woman of deep faith; although she was always searching for answers. She valued family, education and knowledge, faith, and God and passed these values on to her children and grandchildren.
While she may no longer be living on this earth, she will forever live on in the hearts and minds of all of those who knew and loved her. Life was seldom easy for her, but she always fought to live and to find something, however small, to celebrate, like a chocolate Hershey bar shared with her grandson or playing with one of her many pets through the years.
She will be missed, but she will never be forgotten…
